I’ve travelled the entire globe as part of my work. From Canada, to South America. Europe, the Middle East, Far East, Siberia and even to our Australian offices. It’s certainly very varied. For example, I travelled to India for a 1 day meeting about 2 weeks ago, and that’s quite far.

(I’m actually writing this from the airport now, but only to Paris).

Like Matt my job has involved quite a lot of travel. My most recent trip was to Oman which is pretty far away. There are some engineers in my company who are away more than at home, and others who have only travelled for work a few times – you can pick and choose depending on your job

I have been to Hong Kong twice during my 6 years in Engineering, I am also planning to visit again next year. There are plenty of opportunities for travel within the industry if that is what you are looking for but there are also jobs where travel is not a requirement if you don’t feel comfortable doing it.
